Mamalicious Monday

I just had to post about kids and the internet. As we all know, children have to be supervised while online. So my home computer has a password where they can't get online without me knowing. Well, I had to work over the weekend. My kids were in the office watching tv. My tween figured out how to get online, sign up for google, make a blog, and sign up for twitter in approx. one hour! All of that probably took me months to figure out! Well, I deleted all of that and put a password on the work computer. Check out Mamalicious Monday here.

Belli Skincare Review

We all know to watch what we eat or drink while pregnant or nursing, but I never really thought much about skin care products possibly being harmful. I was really shocked to find out what some products might contain. I recently had the opportunity to try several Belli products. Dr. Jason Rubin, a board certified family practioner, founded the company with his wife Annette. They searched through over 16 million medical research articles in over 5000 international journals, and used this information to exclude ingredients with even remote links to birth defects or other problems with pregnancy. I think that is such a great idea.

There are 3 main product lines:
Belli Pregnancy, Belli Motherhood, and Belli Baby.

My favorite products were the Skin Smoothing Body Exfoliator and the Body Firming Serum.
The body exfoliator made my skin very smooth. The firming serum made my skin very soft. Since I didn't recently have a baby, I couldn't really use it to see if it tightens the skin post pregnancy. The Belli Baby Gift Set looks like a perfect gift for a baby shower or after the baby is born.

They are having a special now on the pregnancy starter kit where you can save $22! Also you can save $7.00 on the Elasticity Belly Oil until 3/31.

They are giving Donna's World readers a special discount. If you put in 4BELLI (ALL CAPS) you will receive 15% off. You won't be disappointed with their products.

Spray ‘n Wash Bright & White Review and Giveaway

"New Spray ‘n Wash Bright & White is the hero of the laundry room – saving clothes from the negative effects of chlorine bleach accidents while fighting stains and keeping colors bright and whites white.

The unique stain-fighting formula brightens colors while delivering incredible whitening benefits. Featuring the stain-fighting power of Resolve™, Spray ‘n Wash Bright & White when added to detergent successfully eliminates stains without the risk of bleach accidents and spills. It is a single in-wash stain-fighting solution, saving clothes and fighting dirt."

97% of today’s clothing labels warn against using Chlorine Bleach!

It can be used in different ways.

In-wash treatment

Pre-wash spot treatment

Pre-wash soak treatment

Compatible with High Efficiency detergent

I was given a sample to review. It was easy to use, and it appeared to be color safe. I didn't have any fading or bleeding of colors. I had what looked like a grease stain on a T-shirt that was set in. The shirt had already been washed more than once. I used Spray ‘n Wash Bright & White as a pre-wash spot treatment and in the wash. The stain was significantly improved with one wash. My shirt is now wearable again!

You can get some coupons here.

They are having a sweepstakes at ListenToYourClothes.com. You could win one of more than 80 prizes throughout the year, including the grand prize – a laundry room makeover, one year supply of Bright & White, and a clothing stipend…in total valued at $10,000! Sweepstakes is open for entry through December 31, 2009.

Now for the giveaway here... The great people from Spray ‘n Wash will give a cute washing machine-themed box and full-size product for two readers.

Homemade Cleaners

I found a list of recipies for homemade cleaners on Feels Like Home.

All purpose cleaner for every room- 1 tablespoon of Dawn per 8 ounces of water
Heavy duty cleaner - Make a baking soda paste by sprinkling a few gobs of baking soda on the
surface and applying just enough water to moisten it
Bathroom cleaner - Make a paste from Dawn and baking soda
Glass cleaner - 1 part white vinegar and 1 part water OR 1 part rubbing alcohol and 1 part water
Floor cleaner - Add 1/2 c white vinegar to a gallon of water, and a little essential oil to give it a nice scent
Toilet cleaner - You can use full strength white vinegar to scrub your toilet. Don’t worry, the smell will dissipate once it dries.
Garbage disposal cleaner - Pour a few quarts of boiling water down the drain. You can also grind up a whole lemon to make it smell nice.

I haven't tried any of them yet, but I want to. Do you make any home made cleaners?

ReusableBags.com Review and Giveaway

ReusableBags.com has been fighting the massive over-consumption of plastic shopping bags since 2002 and has made a significant impact. "Is the plastic bag the worst thing adversely affecting our environment? Probably not. However it is very important because of its ubiquitous nature. Nearly all of us use them -- all the time. Pervasive and out of control, it is a powerful symbol of consumerism gone wild. The mindless over-consumption of plastic bags is just plain dumb and we are helping make it a thing of the past." They provide consumers with a wide range of "reusables," including safe, reusable bottles and eco-friendly lunch bags. As of 2009, they have enabled 180,000+ customers to reduce their consumption of use-and-toss items by more than 700 million units.
They sell a variety of things such as:

The non-toxic freezer pack is reusable and also made in the USA. 100% guaranteed against defects in materials or construction for life. If for any reason the bag fails due to normal wear and tear, they will fix or replace it for you free of charge.

Wonderwash Giveaway Link

Introducing the Wonderwash from Laundry Alternative http://laundry-alternative.com/ - the space saving, time saving, energy saving Green Clean solution for your laundry needs! As seen on The Rachael Ray Show http://www.rachaelrayshow.com/show/segments/view/human-lab-laundry/ , through a patented pressure system, the Wonderwash thoroughly cleans a five pound load in just minutes using less water and detergent than even hand washing!
What can you wash with the Wonderwash? How about a week’s worth of dress shirts, 10 t-shirts, 30 pairs of socks, bibs, cloth diapers, burp clothes….the list goes on and on.
How does the Wonderwash work? When you put warm or hot water into the drum, fit the lid in place and seal the machine, the air inside the drum will absorb the heat of the water and expand (i.e., just like a hot air balloon). When the air expands it creates pressure inside the drum. The pressure forces the detergent (which is diluted into the water) into & through the fabric (which is porous) about 100 times faster than you could by hand or machine.
Tell Us How It Could Work for You – And Win a Wonderwash PLUS a Mini Countertop Spin Dryer, which quietly spins the water out of your clothes in just minutes.
To participate follow these easy steps!
Blog on your site about what YOU would use the Wonderwash and Mini Countertop Spin Dryer to clean.
