Tropicana Pure Premium 100% Pure Florida Orange Juice and Sweepstakes
There are many concerns today about our food supply. You might remember when there was a problem with some things that were produced in China that killed some dogs. Also there have been a variety of outbreaks of food poisoning. For many reasons I purchase food grown in the USA. It makes me feel safer with the protections the USDA puts on the food. Given the depressed economy, it is important to support business in the US whenever possible.
My family loves orange juice. We love to eat either bacon and eggs or waffles with an ice cold glass of orange juice. It is a great way to start the day. Each 59oz container of Tropicana Pure Premium® has 16 fresh-picked Florida oranges squeezed into it and an 8oz glass gives you 100% vitamin C to help you maintain a healthy immune system.
Did you know that Tropicana Pure Premium is 100% Pure Florida Orange Juice? It is the single largest buyer of Florida fruit, purchasing approximately 11.6 billion oranges from Florida each year. They use groves in 22 different Florida counties, primarily in central and southern Florida. Oranges have been grown in Florida since the 1560s, approximately 147 years before any other U.S. state. Tropicana’s roots in Florida go back a long way with some of its current grower relationships dating back to the 1960s.
I learned that there are two major orange types in Tropicana Pure Premium - Valencia and Hamlin. Valencias typically have more intense color and flavor, while Hamlins can be sweeter. Many Florida growers sample oranges by cutting them into a cup shape, allowing for drinking juice directly from the fruit.
