Smart Shopper Review and Giveaway

One of the best ways to save money on groceries is to make a list of needed items, and stick to the list. But frequently when I am ready to go to the store, I forget to write down some of my needed items. I really needed something to record my items as I think of them or see that I need them.

I was excited that I got to review a smart shopper as seen on Rachael Ray. SmartShopper is a convenient way to keep track of your errands and groceries. You can add items to your shopping list by simply speaking into SmartShopper’s microphone. Using the easy-to-read LED display, you can edit list entries and customize your SmartShopper. As you enter items into your grocery shopping list organizer, they will be sorted based on categories such as “Fresh Produce”, “Dairy” or “Errands” so when you’re ready to hit the print button, SmartShopper will have already simplified your shopping trip for you.

Smart Shopper features:

State-of-the-art voice recognition
2500 Pre-loaded items
Built-in printer requires no ink cartridges
Intuitive interface
Uses four standard AA batteries
Built-in magnets for attaching to refrigerator
Includes 3 paper rolls, wall mounting kit, item booklet, and instructions

I found it easy to use. I just put in the batteries, and it was ready to go. It had most things in the pre-loaded item list. I had to change the name on some things such as "Mountain Dew" to "soft drinks". But they included a master list of pre-loaded items, so it was easy.

I also like the feature of errands such as "bank", "car repair", "beauty shop", and "pay bills". I like to do my errands all in one trip if possible, and this will really help.

"Say it, print it, go get it."

You can puchase one online at Smart Shopper USA.

The people at Smart Shopper USA sent another smart shopper to give away to one lucky reader.

Kernal Seasons Review

We are trying to eat more healthy foods. Snack foods are some of the biggest challenges to healthy eating. Popcorn, a whole grain food that's low in calories, is a great snack food that's economical and also fun to eat. Popcorn is one of the best snack foods around. It's low in calories and high in fiber.

We had been eating microwave popcorn, but unfortunately it is loaded with fat. I recently found a great company called Kernel Season's. They sent me a very generous selection of their products for review. They sell a variety of popcorn products including a large variety of popcorn seasonings, popcorn, and popcorn spritzer. Their slogan is "No More Naked Popcorn!"

The available flavors are:

The popcorn and seasonings are delish! My favorite flavor is apple cinnamon. Mmmm. The butter flavored Spritzer tasted good and helped the seasonings to stick. Their popcorn is advertised as "nearly hull-less", and I would agree. I loved their products, and my kids loved them too.

They are having a special for Donna's World readers. You can receive a 1lb popcorn pouch and 1 can of Spritzer free with any order. Use the following online coupon code:

Kernel235

They are available online at http://www.kernelseasons.com/ and at a variety of stores such as Target, Walmart, Kmart, and Schnucks.

Skin MD Review

I received a sample of Skin MD shielding lotion recently. According to Dr. Brian Zoggboard, certified dermatologist, in Albert Lea, Minnesota this is how it works:

"Shielding Lotions are a new type of skin care product based on years of research into how skin heals. They form a protective shield with the outer layer of skin and help keep out irritants. They allow the natural oils and moisture to remain in the skin so it can heal better and they're light in texture so they go on without a greasy mess. Your skin needs help to keep out these moisture-robbing irritants.A fundamental difference between Shielding Lotions and traditional skin care lotions is that Shielding Lotions enhance the skin's own natural protective abilities by turning the outer layer of skin into what could be described as a hydrating invisible shield making them many times more effective than mere protective lotions and moisturizing creams."

  • No animal products or testing
  • Fragrance and colorant free
  • Dermatology tested
  • Non-comedogenic
  • Hypoallergenic
  • Paraben free

I frequently wash my hands at work, so they get very dry especially in the winter. With one application of Skin MD shielding lotion, my hands were soft and well moisturized. The moisture lasted even after washing my hands, and they were not greasy. I would highly recommend this product for anyone with dry skin.

On their website is search feature to see where you can buy it locally. In my area it is available at several Walgreens and CVS stores. To learn more click here.
